Okay, so the name of the place is "Historic Fort Wayne"... But we do laugh a lot.
I will be posting more pictures from this weekend soon. So be sure to check back! I've got boatloads of pictures and stories (AirBrogans and Pop-Tacks to name a few).
Ken... a "dig"? No. An invite to join the "Hat Club". Which guy with a beard?! After the pic was taken, it occurred to me that besides the common smoking caps, we are all old guys!
Windy, thanks for your compliments. I enjoy taking photographs - and try to "tell a story" somehow. The weather was beautiful! We don't always have horses - Calvary - but this was a combined drill... and so we were joined by those on hoof and horseback. One neat thing we practiced... as the horses road very close to us on foot... to get us used to them, and they us (while firing muskets) was how to protect ourselves from Reb Cav (this guys - and one gal - was Yankees - but pretended for us). And that was in groups of four to form a star - with musket and bayonet outward as spokes. And guess where this chaplain gets to go? Protected in the middle of one!
It was a great and grand time. But they always are. Check out the newer post preceeding... Miss you, Windy. Come home - all is forgiven!

OK, um, in the 2nd picture. Is this, like, a dig to anyone I might know?
By the way, who's the guy with the beard?
Great picture of you under the tree Mike. Just a nice relaxing shot. And very nice composition on the candle lit letter! Nicely done!
Looks like the weather was really nice that day. Do you often have horses there? Sure gives the experience more depth.

Thanks Rev!
I appreciate the information. It's cool....well...not for the actual boys in battle 150 years ago but...oh you know what I mean.
I'll be back soon enough......
Enjoy you time this weekend! Post some pictures when you get back.
